Carolyn Cavecche
Carolyn Cavecche serves as President and CEO of the Orange County Taxpayers Association. She came to OCTax with over a decade of public policy experience gained from serving on numerous city, county and regional governing boards. This experience has given her insight into how government can and should keep taxes “fair, understandable, cost effective, and good for business.”
Prior to joining the Orange County Taxpayers Association, Carolyn served 6 years as the directly elected Mayor of the City of Orange in addition to serving almost 6 years as a member of the Orange City Council. During her close to 12 years in office, she sat on the boards of several regional agencies including: the Orange County Transportation Authority, the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink), the Orange County Sanitation District, the Orange County Vector Control District, and the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency.
She has been honored many times by state, regional and local organizations, and is a frequent Southern California News Group contributor on tax and governmental spending issues
Carolyn is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology.
