Campbell Covid Q5

Nonprofits need to direct their available resources to help health care providers and first responders. I applaud Chapman University for turning its newly vacated student housing over to medical personnel who have been quarantined. Every nonprofit should do an inventory of what they are providing to whom and what could be done for those who are most at risk helping all of us. Large universities should spend from their endowments rather than taking money from the federal or state governments to help students who could not return home, and to keep staff on salary. I was shocked to learn how much Harvard is taking from the federal government under the recent legislation, 8.6 million, given its endowment of 40 billion, the largest endowment in the world. (Disclosure: I am an employee of Chapman University.)
